Incoming Dermatology Resident Wins AppleSeed Award
Dr. Christopher Henderson, an incoming Duke Dermatology resident, won the AppleSeed Resident Teaching Award from Duke medical students for his excellent teaching during his intern year in Internal Medicine at Duke.
Selim to Receive Nickel Award for Dermatopathology Teaching Excellence
The American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP) has selected M. Angelica Selim, MD to receive the 21st Annual Walter R. Nickel Award for Excellence in Teaching of Dermatopathology.
Society for Investigative Dermatology 2017 Meeting
Dermatology faculty, researchers, and medical students attended the Society for Investigative Dermatology Annual Meeting in Portland, OR April 26-29, 2017. They presided over symposia, presented abstracts, and attended talks.
A Duke Health Scholar Among Us
Dr. A Rambi Cardones, Assistant Clinician-Research Professor of Dermatology, received an award from the Duke Health Scholars competition for her work “Pathogenesis and treatment of cutaneous graft vs. host disease.”
Research Scientist Awarded Multiple Grants
Dr. Amanda MacLeod, Assistant Research Professor of Dermatology, was awarded the Dermatology Foundation Research Grant for her work “Role of IL-27 Signaling in Cutaneous Regeneration and Host Defense.” She was among four researchers who received the research grant and 52 of researchers that received grants from the Dermatology Foundation this year.
Dr. Atwater's Achievements in Contact Dermatitis
Dr. Amber Atwater, Director of the Duke Dermatology Contact Dermatitis Clinic, has received many rewards for her achievement in the field.
American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting
Our dermatology faculty had an eventful time at the American Academy of Dermatology meeting that took place March 3-7, 2017 in Orlando, FL.
Diana Norton wins Resident Presentation
Our first-year resident, Diana Norton, received the best resident presentation at the Annual North Carolina Dermatology Association Meeting. Her talk was titled, "Malignancy associated with lymphomatoid paulosis."
