Dr. Drew Emge, second year resident, has been selected to participate in the Duke Medical Education Leadership Track (MELT) during the 2021-2022 academic year.
New TeleDermatology Service
A new TeleDermatology service is now available for patients, starting in September. The service incorporates still images with video visits and a virtual clinic complete with nursing and admin staff. We hope to grow the service to improve access to patients who need dermatology across our network.

Dr. Elise Olsen Receives Two Major Honors and Publishes Landmark Article
She has been named 2021 Honorary Member of the AAD for her work advancing the profession through leadership and service. Dr. Olsen has also received the David Whiting Leadership and Research Award from the American Hair Research Society for her work and research in hair disorders.
Suephy Chen named new Dermatology Chair
Suephy C. Chen, MD, MS, has been named the new chair of the Department of Dermatology, effective January 4, 2021.
