Research Scientist Awarded Multiple Grants

Dr. Amanda MacLeod, Assistant Research Professor of Dermatology, was awarded the Dermatology Foundation Research Grant for her work “Role of IL-27 Signaling in Cutaneous Regeneration and Host Defense.” She was among four researchers who received the research grant and 52 of researchers that received grants from the Dermatology Foundation this year.

She also received the Duke School of Medicine Physician-Scientist Strong Start Award, which is designed to support investigators after their first faculty appointment, and before promotion to the rank of Associate Professor.  The goal is to nurture the careers of young, laboratory-based physician-scientists at Duke.

Congratulations to Dr. MacLeod!
