A Duke Health Scholar Among Us

Dr. A Rambi Cardones, Assistant Clinician-Research Professor of Dermatology, received an award from the Duke Health Scholars competition for her work “Pathogenesis and treatment of cutaneous graft vs. host disease.”  The Duke Health Scholars program’s aim is to support the research efforts and enhance the academic success of early to mid-career clinician-scientists in School of Medicine clinical departments.

Duke Health Scholars are generally more established and receive substantial award to expand their research in new directions.  Award recipients were nominated by their department chairs and selected through peer review.  The award committee received over 30 applications and the selection process was highly competitive.  Receipt of these awards recognize both past achievements and future potential for continued success as clinician-scientists.

Congratulations to Dr. Cardones!
