Who can participate?
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Have had a diagnosis of Hidradenitis Suppurativa
What does it entail?
- Collection of health, social, clinical and laboratory information pertaining to Hidradenitis Suppurativa and related conditions
- Biospecimens such as blood, urine etc. may be collected
- Option of permitting collection of specimens such as skin tissue
About This Study
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to collect and maintain information from adults with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and/or related conditions such as acne, pyoderma gangrenosum, dissecting cellulitis, and pilonidal sinus. This will allow for increased and more focused research on this illness and perhaps eventually lead to the development of improved treatment outcomes.
Procedure
Participants in this study will allow for the past, present and future collection of health, social, clinical and laboratory information pertaining to their Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and/or related conditions such as acne, pyoderma gangrenosum, dissecting cellulitis, and pilonidal sinus. For this study, biospecimens such as blood, urine etc. may be collected during routine visits. Participants will have the option of permitting that specimens such as skin tissue may also be collected.
Participant Eligibility
Participants must have a diagnosis of Hidradenitis Suppurativa and must be at least 18 years old.
