A special shout out to our clinician, nursing and student volunteers this past month with skin cancer screenings during the Prostate and Health Screening and with Pride Durham!
For the 2 days of skin cancer screening events the team screened 148 individuals for skin cancer and cutaneous signs of diabetes, many of whom have never or very rarely connect with healthcare.
Duke Dermatology was also well appreciated amongst those in the Health and Wellness Kickback section this Saturday at Pride Durham. The rain fortunately gave us a break for the outdoor event where we offered hats and sunscreen samples to the thousands attending.
