On Thursday, November 3rd the Dermatology Clinical Research Unit (CRU) celebrated the very first screening visit for a clinical trial at the Duke South Durham Clinic!
This is a celebration of several things, most importantly the successful collaboration of faculty and staff across the Dermatology team at large.
Setting up a clinical research presence at a new clinical site is a significant project, requiring diligent planning and effort underlining this accomplishment. It would not have been possible without amazing teamwork and alignment between clinical and research teams.
This is an important step for our department to make clinical trials accessible to more of our patients and to allow more faculty to be involved in one of our critical missions: research!
So as the CRU team celebrates together, we now invite all of Dermatology to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion together!
